Winter warmers ft. PAYF community cafe!
Here's my first post, it's about a pay-as-you-feel cafe based in the LS14 Trust on wednesdays. This week another project is sharing the space, here's what I thought of it and depictions of that experience.
It's a surreal situation to be in...? seeing people learn how to knit inside a cafe; the welcoming atmosphere full of good friends, great smelling foods and everyday gossip.
Gave me quite a chuckle to see a Mensgroup member learning how to knit for the first time, all the frustration and aspirations to learn a new skill. (*myself however, chose to abstain from this...)
Maybe I'll try knitting next week?
Suddenly got into a conversation about how schools stopped teaching valuable life skills, like gardening, growing your own food, cooking and repairing basic household stuff.
